"Qualified coaches in sea, coarse and game"

Following the success of 2007's summer courses we now have in excess of 12 level 2 and 10 level 1 coaches in the disciplines of sea, coarse and game (both Trout and Salmon) fishing.
With this large raft of coaches on our team it allows us to continue with our intended plans to further improve the Club's ability to organise and run events for juniors and seniors, both for members and for open events where non-members may also attend.

It is our policy to ensure that any teaching done on our waters is done under the guidance and control of fully qualified coaches, who all have, and have proved to have, insurance, CRB checks, First Aid and child awarness qualifications. We take great care to ensure all participants are well looked after in a safe environment.

CAC Salmon Open Day - Somerley - 3rd Feb 2008
The CAC coaching calendar once again opens on Sunday 3rd February with our CAC Salmon open day at Ellingham on the Somerley Estate. We will be inviting all our salmon members (and prospective members) to join us on the bank to enjoy an opportunity to find out more about how and where to fish on our salmon waters, (Somerley and elsewhere). There will be a Spey Casting demonstrations by Brett O’Connor (aapgai), and Kevin Styles part of which will be how to approach the sunk line, large fly techniques that are used for early season fishing on the Avon. There will also be additional CAC instructors on hand to provide advice on both casting and fishing techniques. We are also going to use this day to launch a new Spey Casting Club for anyone who is interested in the different techniques and styles of Spey casting in use today.
