ABOUT THE VENUE
Much of the harbour south shore had limited fishing access from the bank and here
boat-fishing is popular. The north shore has excellent sea-trout fishing in the Claypool
area for CAC members. Coarse fish can be caught well down the harbour but often move up
with the rising tide. The national Mullet Club have some very keen local members that
catch and release thick-lipped mullet to over 8lb, thin-lipped mullet are also present.
Some shore areas are sensitive to disturbance by people and their dogs. CAC are
collaborating fully with other conservation bodies to manage use of the harbour
effectively. Please check club maps and specific rules for the harbour.
