The River Stour at Little Canford

ABOUT THE VENUE
This is an over grown, difficult water to fish. During the summer much of the river is full of reeds. To reach many of the swims waders are required. This venue is best suited to an agile, roving approach. The extra effort is well worth it. During the winter many more swims become fishable. The stretch holds a large head chub with them averaging 4lb with a few which are a lot bigger. There is a small number barbel to 14lb+ and loads of small stuff. Grayling to 1lb 8oz, Roach to 2lb 8oz, Perch 2lb+, Pike, Dace, Brown Trout, Eels and the odd carp.
